Rovers Sign Ex Fingal Keeper

Sligo Rovers have today announced that Brendan Clarke has signed a one year deal with the club. Clarke has been a free agent ever since Sporting Fingal terminated their players contracts last weak.

The 25 year old has plenty of experience in the LOI making over 70 appearances for St.Patricks Athletic and Sporting Fingal. Clarke will be fighting for the number 1 spot with Ciaran Kelly.

This will probably be the last signing for Rovers with the exception of Romould Boco if he comes back with lower wage demands. This makes it 19 players under contract for next season now:

McGoldrick Signs First professional Contract

Sligo Rovers have today announced that Mark McGoldrick has signed a two year deal with the club. This is Marks first professional contract and he is the second young player to have signed a two year contract with the club (Daryl Horgan being the other).

The former Merville man made a number of senior appearances last season, scoring his first senior goal against Monaghan United in the quarter-final of the FAI Cup. McGoldrick was also in sensational form for the u20s and A-team side scoring a number of goals in the process.

Aaron Greene is Rovers latest signing

Aaron Greene has today signed for Sligo Rovers. The 21 year old who scored 5 goals in 14 games for Galway United and last year made 18 appearances with Bohemians can play up front or play out wide.

u19 Irish International Joins Rovers

Sligo Rovers have today announced the signing of Daryl Horgan. The 18 year old who is an Ireland u19 international  played for Salthill As last year but also later joined up with the first team, he made 23 league appearances and scored two goals in the process.


Horgan is a very prominent young player who can play centre midfield or out wide.


This signing brings the number of players contracted for next season to 16:
